Lorraine Martin
MBACP Accred.
Lorraine is a qualified counsellor with over ten years’ experience, a counselling supervisor, and an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Before qualifying as a counsellor, she worked in both corporate business and the voluntary sector, giving her a broad understanding of organisational dynamics and professional challenges, which informs her supervisory practice.

Lorraine’s work now focuses on clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists, supporting both qualified practitioners and those in training. She offers a reflective and supportive space to explore client work, professional development, ethical considerations, and personal growth. Her supervision approach is integrative, primarily drawing on person centered, CBT and psychodynamic principles, while also incorporating aspects of transactional Analysis and solution-focused therapy, particularly useful for shorter-term work. The emphasis is on supporting counsellors to grow professionally, maintain wellbeing, and strengthen their practice.
In addition to clinical supervision, Lorraine provides workplace and organisational supervision, supporting individuals to reflect on professional challenges, manage work-related stress, and develop resilience within their roles. She draws on her experience managing a counselling service to provide broad insight into a wide range of professional and client contexts.
Lorraine holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision and is happy to discuss your supervision needs and preferences. She generally recommends an initial telephone conversation, followed by a face-to-face or online meeting, to establish a collaborative and effective supervisory relationship.

Lorraine works predominantly in person in Redhill and Reigate, with online supervision also available for flexibility and accessibility. She undertakes ongoing professional development to ensure her practice remains current, reflective, and responsive to supervisees’ needs.
