Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is offered as a collaborative, reflective and supportive professional relationship. In addition to meeting ethical and professional requirements, supervision provides space to reflect on clinical work, personal development and the wider demands of counselling practice. It offers a consultative process in which an additional perspective can be brought to client work, supporting thoughtful decision-making, ethical awareness and client safety. Grounded in the Inskipp and Proctor model, supervision attends to the normative, formative and restorative functions of practice, with the core conditions central to the supervisory relationship.

This integrative supervision service is informed by person-centred principles and incorporates relational and behavioural perspectives where helpful. Supervision supports work with both short- and long-term clients and offers space to explore the emotional impact of the work, professional boundaries, self-care and ethical dilemmas. It is suitable for counsellors working in private practice or organisational settings and aims to support safe, reflective and sustainable practice. Supervision is not offered for work with couples or children.
